Horrorfest Helsinki's Sleepy Hollow event's tickets are now in sale! On September 21st 2024, Villa Rulludd villa in Espoo turns into Tim Burton's classic movie's rural mansion. Experience the plot of the film, escape rooms and rural Halloween party with dinner, set in year 1799!

Stroll into the village of Sleepy Hollow, where along the way you will see fields, a cornfield with a scarecrow and a cemetery. Next, you will arrive at a country manor where Mary van Tassel and her spouse have decided to hold a rural-themed Halloween celebration for the local residents, despite the fear looming over the village.

At the celebration, you can play vintage party games and listen to vintage horror poetry. The evening will also feature late Baroque music, culminating in a horror opera performance.

During the event, you can also participate in escape rooms based on the story:

Outside, Ichabod will lead a group at a time to the witch's lair to seek answers to the murders troubling the village.

In another escape room, you will search for a missing body. A good witch Eloise has cursed her student Martha and severed her head. She has hidden the body somewhere. Before the cursing, Eloise told Martha how the Headless Horseman can be destroyed. Cursing Martha and beheading her was the only option because Eloise knew the Headless Horseman was after her. Now the horseman can no longer take Martha's head. Martha just needs her body back to rise against the horseman.

The entire evening plays out the story, from Ichabod's arrival until the moment the Headless Horseman retrieves his lost skull.

The event has a license to serve alcohol, and there is an option to purchase a separate ticket for a seated dinner located at the back of the villa. The dinner will feature period-appropriate food.

Villa Rulludd has free parking for around 15 cars. It is located 150 meters from Villa Rulludd, at the end of Rullaniementie.
