From 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM Magical Animals of the Rauni Epic
Juha Jyrkäs
Western Finnish folk epic, Rauni, features numerous magical animals such as a helpful miraculous crane, a scheming wagtail, and other beings that play a person’s role in a magical wonderland, etc. These cunning creatures of folk poems are foreign to many, but the stories about them are old and might go back all the way to the Stone Age.

Author and folk poetry researcher Juha Jyrkäs, who has compiled the Rauni epic from Western Finnish folk poems, will illustrate these animal characters with examples and explain the backgrounds of each poem. He also will be shedding light on the history of Western Finnish folk poems which have been overshadowed by many folk poems from the East.

From 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM My little Animal Tale

Back in the days instead of watching cartoons, people listened to fairy tales, nursery rhymes and fables which often featured talking animals. Are there any traces of the ancient tradition of animal tales in modern animal tales, such as the My Little Pony series? Both of them at least often have moral lessons in addition to talking animals. But have these also changed over the millennia, or can the eternal truths of ethics also be found among little ponies? These and other questions will be examined in an academic light with examples.

From 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM Stories of Europe's largest furry conventions Haru
Travelling fox Haru will tell about their trips to Nordic FuzzCon in Sweden and Eurofurence in Germany. You will also seeing photos and get recommendations for choosing flights, packing and more.

From 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM Hobbyhorse Tourney
Does the heart of a knight beat in your chest? Do you want to prove your courage as well as your skills in horse riding and using a spear? Register for a fun program that combines two amazing types of hobby: hobby horses and boffing! You can represent either one of the Pörrönmaa knights’ orders or register with your own order. You can participate in a tourney with your own or a borrowed hobby horse. Other equipment will be provided by our event.

From 6:45 PM to 7:15 PM Unreality Choir’s Vocal Ensemble
Unreality choir’s vocal ensemble performs songs from known animal series in Finnish as well as in their original languages!

From 7:15 PM to 7:30 PM Costume Catwalk
Come and show off your fursuit, cosplay, therian mask or other costume either alone or with friends.

From 7:30 PM to 7:45 PM Award Ceremony and Closing Speech
Awarding participants of dance competition and the hobbyhorse tourney, naming the new nobles of Pörrönmaa (Furrysland) kingdom, and a few words from the event organizers.

Treasure Hunt
The loot from the Evil Unicorn League has been hidden in different parts of the venue. Pörrönmaa royal house has declared the loot free game so let the treasure hunt begin! Those who succeed in the treasure hunt can come and present their loot to the information desk and add it to their gem reserves. The most accomplished gem collectors will receive a title of nobility and be named members of the Pörrönmaa court. The new nobles will be listed at the closing ceremony, and you can register with a nickname or as your own character or sona.

Finnish Ginga Fan Association
Come to learn about Finnish Ginga Fan Association! You will find our fan merchandise at our table and we have put together a wonderful catalog of various prizes and items for our wheel of fortune! Ginga Room also has a papercraft and art workshop where you can come to create and design your own characters set in the world of Silver Fang or just simply let your creativity run wild in the form of unprompted animal art. Welcome!

Bead Workshop

Welcome to work with the beads! Here you can make bead bracelets, bead necklaces or even bead keychains either for yourself or a friend as a choice. The possibilities are limitless! In addition to beads, we also have rubber bands available which you can use for crafting other types of small trinkets. Ready-made examples of the above are also available and you can buy them for the workshop fee! Workshop fee 2 € per beadwork. Please bring cash for the workshop fee!

Hobbyhorse Workshop
Come and make your own hobbyhorse under the supervision of a skilled instructor. There is a materials fee in the workshop.

Royal Horses on the Run
The residents of the royal stable of Pörrönmaa managed to escape from their stalls and have run here and there across the kingdom! Help find the runaway equids and deliver them to the Pörröcon information desk. Nice prizes are promised to those who find the horses!

Prophecy of Vul Video Game Demo Corner

Come and playtest a demo of a platformer that is currently developed by a small indie studio! Meet different kinds of animals from Inner Taiga, learn of their culture and journey through the mystical forest! Every demo tester will receive a game-themed sticker sheet!

Puppy Corner
Harrastusseura Revontuli ry
Pörröcon's Puppy Corner is aimed at younger visitors and includes opportunities for free play. The corner is equipped with various animal-themed toys for younger and older kids, as well as fairy tale books to read.

 Coloring and Art Area (Lower Lobby, 1F)
Relax while drawing or coloring animal pictures at the hanging out area located near the cloak room.
